To be a Mentee

This program will give mentee invaluable chance to get insider advice on the job. You can practice and demonstrate what have been learned in college.

Role and responsibilities of a mentee

As a mentee, you will play many different roles during the course of your mentoring relationship. You can develop your career in interior design profession by:

  • Identify the skills and knowledge that you want to achieve and communicate them to your mentor
  • Work with your mentor to seek resources for learning
  • Ability and willingness to work as a team player relationship
  • Share your career goals with mentor and ask for advice or help
  • Tackle more challenging assignments

Benefits to mentee

A mentee is an individual who seeks a trusted mentor, to provide direction and help you reach your true potential in interior design. Entering into a mentoring relationship helps you to build your professional network and lead to a strong business connections.

End of the two years, the logbook should be submitted to the Hong Kong Interior design Association (HKIDA) for evaluation. With the approval of the logbook from the HKIDA, practitioners will be allowed to use the title “HKIDA Qualified Professional Interior Designer”.
